Our St. John’s, NL office is looking for a Junior People & Organization Advisor to join our team!
In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with the People & Organization team to support Training Administrators in coordinating regulatory, offshore, technical, and professional development training. Alongside this, you’ll provide well-rounded P&O support accross the functional area, contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
What will you be doing?
- Coordinate and administer employee and contractor training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements
- Partner with department managers and HR to identify training needs, address gaps, and support development of technical competency programs
- Maintain accurate training records and employee data within HRIS and internal databases
- Ensure client-specific training requirements are incorporated into project training matrices across sites and locations
- Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, screening resumes, and conducting reference checks
- Prepare and manage documentation, including CV formatting, data entry, and departmental materials
- Coordinate meetings and schedules, prepare agendas, and take minutes for team meetings
- Assist in preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations for the department and project teams
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day People & Organization operations
We think you should have:
- Office Administration diploma or Human Resources Business Management certificate
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience administering East Coast Canada offshore training and qualifications
- Working knowledge of Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) guidelines and requirements
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, customers, and management, both verbally and in writing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify data integrity issues
- Agile and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- High level of attention to detail
